Hambardzum Matevosyan’s Working Visit to the Republic of Korea Concludes

The working visit of Hambardzum Matevosyan, Minister of Environment of the RA, to the Republic of Korea has concluded. During the visit, the Minister participated in the Sustainable Ocean Initiative Global Dialogue and held a number of important bilateral and working meetings.
The visit provided an important opportunity to strengthen cooperation in priority environmental areas, present Armenia’s priorities on the international stage, and establish new partnerships.
The Minister met with Kim Sung-Hwan, Minister of Climate, Energy and Environment of the Republic of Korea, Hwang Jong-Woo, Minister of Oceans and Fisheries, as well as the leadership of the Korea Forest Service.
During the visit, Hambardzum Matevosyan also held consultative meetings with representatives of international organizations and leading experts in the field, discussing the global biodiversity agenda, opportunities for expanding international cooperation, and preparations for CBD COP17, which will be held in Armenia.
The Minister expressed confidence that the agreements reached and partnerships established during the visit will give new impetus to Armenia–Korea cooperation and contribute to the effective advancement of Armenia’s environmental agenda.
