Hambardzum Matevosyan to Participate in Kunming Dialogue

Hambardzum Matevosyan, Minister of Environment of the RA, has been dispatched to Kunming, People’s Republic of China, to participate in the Kunming Dialogue of the UN Convention on Biological Diversity, to be held from September 7 to 9.
The international meeting is dedicated to the global review of collective progress in the implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, which will be one of the key processes of COP17 to be held in Yerevan.
Minister Matevosyan will address the opening plenary session of the dialogue, presenting the vision of Armenia’s COP17 presidency and the expected results of the global review process.
The results of the Kunming Dialogue will be presented to COP17, contributing to the development of further steps aimed at achieving the global biodiversity goals by 2030.
As part of the visit, Minister Matevosyan is also scheduled to hold a number of bilateral meetings with international partners and high-ranking officials to discuss preparations for COP17, the priorities of the presidency, and future directions for cooperation in the field of biodiversity.
