Hambardzum Matevosyan Holds Meetings with Representatives of International Partner Organizations

During his working visit to the Republic of Korea, Minister Hambardzum Matevosyan held consultative meetings with representatives of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries of the Republic of Korea, the Secretariat of the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the National Marine Biodiversity Institute of Korea, as well as other international partner organizations and experts in the field.
As the representative of the COP17 Presidency, the Minister emphasized the importance of hearing the assessments and recommendations of international experts and gaining a deeper understanding of sectoral priorities and global challenges in order to ensure a more effective preparatory process for COP17.
The consultative meetings focused on the conservation of marine and coastal biodiversity, the sustainable management of aquatic ecosystems, scientific cooperation, and the strengthening of international partnerships.
