G7 Environment Ministers’ Meeting in Paris Concludes

April 27, 2026

The participation of Hambardzum Matevosyan in the G7 Environment Ministers’ Meeting in Paris has concluded, marking an important milestone in strengthening Armenia’s international environmental engagement.
Armenia’s presence in this format reflects the growing trust placed in the country and underscores its expanding role in the global environmental agenda.
The G7 brings together key actors in global political and economic processes, and Armenia’s participation in this platform provided an opportunity to present national priorities and contribute to shaping international discussions.
Armenia’s participation was also particularly significant as the country prepares to host the 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity. This responsibility calls for active engagement in international processes, the strengthening of partnerships, and the development of integrated approaches to biodiversity conservation and climate action.
During the meetings, the Minister reaffirmed Armenia’s readiness to act as a proactive and reliable partner. He also presented national priorities in the context of ensuring the effective implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework and strengthening synergies among multilateral processes.
