COP17 Organizing Committee Meeting Held

The COP17 Organizing Committee meeting was held.
During the meeting, the progress of preparatory work was discussed, including construction and infrastructure activities, identified and inventoried issues, as well as the measures being undertaken to address them.
Minister of Environment Hambardzum Matevosyan also presented the international processes being implemented by the COP17 Presidency, including the outcomes of the recent visit to the Secretariat of the UN Convention on Biological Diversity. The agreements reached with partners and the developed schedule were also discussed.
One of the key items on the agenda was the preliminary programme of COP17. In this context, the Minister presented the main and parallel events, their thematic focus, and the overall organization schedule.
Issues related to the organization of the Leaders Summit were also addressed, along with the process of coordination with the relevant authorities of different countries.
As a result of the meeting, priorities, responsibilities, and further steps were clarified.
