COP16–COP17 Presidencies Workshop Held in Armenia

A three-day workshop on knowledge and experience exchange between the COP16 and COP17 Presidencies of the Convention on Biological Diversity was held in Armenia, bringing together representatives of Colombia, the COP16 Presidency, and Armenia, the COP17 Presidency.
The workshop aimed to facilitate the transfer of knowledge and lessons learned from COP16, support the effective preparation of COP17 in Yerevan, and strengthen institutional continuity between the two Presidencies.
The workshop was organized with the support of the NBSAP Accelerator Partnership, the International Organization for Migration (IOM), GIZ, and partner organizations. Over the course of the three-day event, participants discussed the strategic and political coordination of the COP Presidency, the organization of negotiation processes, Green Zone management, communications and public relations, the engagement of non-state actors, Indigenous Peoples and local communities, as well as security, logistics, and other key organizational aspects of the conference.
