Construction Progress of Modular Substation Observed

Today, at the Meridian Expo Center, where construction and preparatory work for COP17 is actively underway, Minister Hambardzum Matevosyan; together with Romanos Petrosyan, Interim General Manager of Electric Networks of Armenia CJSC; Mesrop Mesropyan, Chairman of the RA Public Services Regulatory Commission; and Kamo Areyan, Adviser to the Mayor of Yerevan, observed the progress of construction of the “Noragyugh” 35/6 kV modular substation currently under construction.
The participants familiarized themselves with the project’s technical solutions, ongoing construction stages and preparations for the commissioning of the substation. They emphasized the importance of completing the work within the established deadlines and in accordance with high quality standards to ensure the reliable and uninterrupted operation of the capital’s power supply system.
A representative of the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity is currently in Armenia, and the parties stressed the importance of ensuring that the infrastructure is fully prepared and in proper condition for hosting international events and delegations.
The Minister expressed confidence that the ongoing work will significantly contribute both to the stability of the city’s energy system and to ensuring a high level of organization for major international events.
