Armenia has officially joined the BES Solution Fund, becoming the 13th country to receive support under the Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services Network.
This partnership provides an opportunity to strengthen the integration of biodiversity knowledge into national policies and practices in the context of rapidly evolving environmental challenges and opportunities.
The initiative will support the more effective incorporation of biodiversity and ecosystem services approaches into national policies and development planning processes, including the systematic use of IPBES assessments and local knowledge.
It will also promote stronger cooperation between policymakers, scientists and local communities, contributing to the development of practical approaches to ecosystem restoration, sustainable use of natural resources and climate resilience.
