Discussions within the framework of the “Kunming Dialogue” focused on the collective progress made in implementing the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, identifying existing gaps, and addressing the need to accelerate action towards 2030. The outcomes of the meeting will be presented at COP17 and will make a significant contribution to the first global review process scheduled to take place in Yerevan.
As the COP17 Presidency, it is crucial that the journey from Kunming to Yerevan marks a transition from commitments to actual implementation.
Minister Matevosyan expressed gratitude to the Government of China, the Secretariat of the UN Convention on Biological Diversity, and all partners for the substantive dialogue, hospitality, and effective cooperation.
