From 1 to 2 July 2026, Lilit Abrhamyan, Head of the Water Policy Department of the Ministry of Environment of the RA, and Lusine Avetisyan, Head of the Strategic Policy Department, participated in the Regional Steering Committee Conference of the “EU4Green Recovery East” programme, as well as thematic workshops on emerging pollutants in water and river basin management and planning held as part of the event.
During the conference, representatives of the Ministry delivered presentations outlining the progress achieved under the programme and the Ministry's priorities for the next phase of implementation.
At the workshop on river basin management and planning, Lilit Abrhamyan delivered a presentation on Armenia's progress and achievements in the sector, as well as the challenges that remain.
The Ministry's representatives also took part in discussions at the Artois–Picardie River Basin Committee in France, where the French experience in developing and implementing river basin management plans, the economic instruments used in the water sector, participatory governance, and the implementation of key EU water legislation was presented.
Stakeholder discussions and bilateral meetings were also held to discuss the implementation of the project.
