Training Program on the Protection of the Right to the Environment Concluded at the Human Rights Defender’s Office

The Human Rights Defender’s Office of the Republic of Armenia has concluded a training programme on “The Right to Live in a Clean, Healthy and Sustainable Environment”.
The initiative aimed to strengthen the professional capacities of the staff and deepen their knowledge of the interrelationship between the environment and human rights, as well as the international and national standards for the protection of this right.
The training was organized in cooperation with the Human Rights Defender’s Office and Armenian Office of the Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law.
The initiative aimed to strengthen the professional capacities of the staff and deepen their knowledge of the interrelationship between the environment and human rights, as well as the international and national standards for the protection of this right.
During the training, participants discussed current issues relating to the protection of the right to live in a clean, healthy and sustainable environment, took part in practical exercises, analyzed various cases, and exchanged professional experience.
At the closing event, certificates were awarded to the participants of the programme.
