The regular meeting of the Public Council under the Minister of Environment of the RA was held.
During the meeting, Minister Hambardzum Matevosyan presented the progress of the preparatory work for CBD COP17, Armenia's priorities as the COP17 Presidency, and the main organizational and substantive areas of ongoing work.
The Council also discussed human-wildlife conflict, recent incidents, including the wolf attack in Syunik Province and cases of bears approaching populated areas in Vayots Dzor Province, as well as possible solutions.
Members of the Public Council raised a number of important issues related to the sector and presented proposals and observations, followed by a constructive question-and-answer session.
The Minister thanked the members of the Public Council for their active engagement and effective cooperation.
