Starting from 1 January 2027, the use of single-use plastic products will be significantly reduced.
The following will be prohibited:

• the use and distribution of polyethylene bags and pouches, except for loose produce bags and garbage bags made from recycled materials;
• the use of single-use plastic or polystyrene containers and tableware (including plates, cups, spoons, forks, knives, straws and stir sticks). 

Alternatives include:

• reusable bags made of paper, cloth, or other sustainable materials;
• tableware made of paper or wood;
• containers made of paper or aluminium foil. 

Your choice matters. Choose alternatives to plastic and help protect nature.
