No Acid Rain Expected to Reach Armenia from Iran

March 10, 2026

Acid rain has not been transmitted from Iran to Armenia, and no such phenomenon is expected in the near future.

From 9 to 11 March, the territory of Armenia will be under the influence of northeastern air currents. From 12 to 20 March, southwestern air currents formed in the Mediterranean basin will prevail across the country. Analysis of atmospheric processes indicates that no penetration of air masses from the territory of Iran into the Republic of Armenia is expected in the coming days.
