Minister Hambardzum Matevosyan’s Working Visit to the Kingdom of Norway Concluded

Minister Hambardzum Matevosyan’s working visit to the Kingdom of Norway, undertaken at the invitation of Andreas Bjelland Eriksen, Minister of Climate and Environment of the Kingdom of Norway, concluded.
The aim of the visit was to deepen cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the Kingdom of Norway in the fields of environmental protection, biodiversity and climate policy.
High-level meetings and professional discussions were held during the visit, covering agenda items related to the 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17), climate adaptation, biodiversity management, climate diplomacy, and sectoral financing opportunities.
Hambardzum Matevosyan expressed his gratitude to his counterpart and the Norwegian side for the effective cooperation and high-level meetings.
The visit was significant in terms of knowledge exchange, the study of best practices, and the expansion of bilateral cooperation.
“I am confident that the results of the visit will contribute to further deepening the partnership between the Republic of Armenia and the Kingdom of Norway and to effectively advancing joint initiatives on the international environmental agenda,” the Minister noted.
