Minister Hambardzum Matevosyan Presented the Ministry’s 2025 Budget Performance

Hambardzum Matevosyan, Minister of Environment of the RA, presented the Ministry of Environment’s 2025 budget performance to the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, outlining the main programmes implemented in the sector, key achievements and recorded results.
The Ministry’s revised budget for 2025 amounted to 16.2 billion drams, while actual expenditure totaled 13.1 billion drams. Compared to the previous year, allocations to the Ministry increased by 5.1 billion drams, while expenditures increased by 3.8 billion drams.
During the reporting year, programmes aimed at biodiversity conservation, restoration of the Lake Sevan ecosystem, water resources management, forest restoration, waste management, air quality monitoring and digitalization continued. At the same time, active efforts were undertaken within the framework of international environmental cooperation.
