Minister Hambardzum Matevosyan Participated in Panel Discussion on Biodiversity Governance

Within the framework of the Yerevan Dialogue, Minister Hambardzum Matevosyan participated in the “Reinforcing Global Biodiversity Governance in the Face of Contemporary Challenges” panel discussion and delivered opening remarks.
In his remarks, the Minister noted that the global biodiversity crisis is already a real and growing challenge, emphasizing its interconnection with climate change and the sustainable development agenda.
He stressed that Armenia, as the country presiding over COP17, is committed to advancing an action-oriented and results-based agenda aimed at accelerating progress by 2030. He also highlighted the importance of integrating biodiversity into national policies, promoting innovation, and ensuring the engagement of all stakeholders.
