Hambardzum Matevosyan, Minister of Environment of the RA, has departed for the Republic of Korea on a working visit, during which he will participate in the Sustainable Ocean Initiative (SOI) Global Dialogue, a high-level international dialogue to be held in Seoul.
The SOI Global Dialogue is one of the key international platforms established under the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity. It brings together high-level representatives of governments, international organizations, and sectoral institutions to discuss the conservation of marine and coastal biodiversity, the sustainable use of natural resources, and the strengthening of international cooperation.
The visit will also include bilateral meetings with heads of government agencies and senior representatives of international organizations to discuss preparations for COP17, biodiversity conservation, climate policy, and the expansion of environmental cooperation.
