Deputy Minister Ara Mkrtchyan Met with Bolat Imanbayev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary

Ara Mkrtchyan, Deputy Minister of Environment of the RA, met with a delegation from the Republic of Kazakhstan led by Bolat Imanbayev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
Welcoming the guests, Ara Mkrtchyan noted that Armenia highly values cooperation with Kazakhstan and attaches importance to its continued development.
The parties discussed issues related to environmental protection, climate change, as well as the expansion of bilateral and regional cooperation. Special emphasis was placed on cooperation in the water resources management sector, taking into account its importance both for regional stability and for addressing climate challenges.
In particular, reference was made to environmental initiatives implemented in the Central Asian region, including the Regional Ecological Summit scheduled for 22–24 April 2026 in Astana, Kazakhstan.
The parties emphasized the importance of exchanging experience, implementing joint programmes, and ensuring effective cooperation on international platforms aimed at sustainable development and addressing environmental challenges.
