Aram Meymaryan Receives Li Xinwei

Aram Meymaryan, Deputy Minister of Environment of the RA, received H.E. Mr. Li Xinwei, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Armenia.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the preparatory and substantive work related to the 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD COP17), as well as opportunities for cooperation in implementing the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework.
The parties also discussed agenda items expected within the framework of COP17, progress in the implementation of the targets of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, and the importance of biodiversity conservation, ecosystem restoration, and expanding international cooperation.
Aram Meymaryan expressed his gratitude to the People's Republic of China, emphasizing the importance of close cooperation with international partners for the successful organization of COP17.
For his part, Ambassador Li Xinwei reaffirmed China's readiness to continue supporting the global biodiversity agenda and to cooperate closely with the Armenian COP17 Presidency within the framework of the conference.
